Badhan Electricity Company (BEC) is the leading supplier of electricity in the Sanaag region of Somalia and currently the sole provider of electricity for residential, commercial and social services sectors in Badhan district. Sanaag region, which has a population of over 200,000 with steady growth rate of over 8% annually, has presented a lot of demand for the electricity generated by the company. 

The high demand has led to the sustained profitability of the BEC since its inception in the year 2003. BEC is registered by the Ministry of Commerce and Industries located in Puntland and is also a registered member of the Puntland Chamber of Commerce and Industries.Company In order to shape the electric service that is sustainable and affordable for  the Somali people according to their economic scale, Badhan Electricity has built a leadership position in major growth sector of the Somali economy for the last decade including power generation and distribution sources of power, this has secured and always leading through innovation.
